Instant Retribution Pre-Production Paperwork
This is Pre-Talent release from which is mainly what the actor has to sign when in the planning stages of the production. This is basically a permission slip that the actor has to sign to say that they are happy to be filmed. This is important for directors because if they had an actor that was under the age of 18 and hadn't provided proof of permission then the director can get in big trouble. This is a form that a member of the group that I worked with has signed to state that they are happy to be filmed and for that film to be shown and uploaded.
Risk assessments are important for directors because if any of the production team/ crew where injured during production they can not sue because the risk has been highlighted and the crew team are aware of that possibly threat.
This is a location release form that is required to be signed by the director and also to get the owner of the locations permission. So in my production we filmed at a public place so there for we needed to inform the police who then would inform the council. It’s important that the authorities know where and when we will be filming.
location recce is what directors use to go and scout to see if the location is suitable for the production. We used the location recce to make sure that all locations that we wanted to film were suitable and had all the resources that we needed i.e power for equipment. As me and my group where using a battery operating camera we did not need to worry so much about making sure that the location had power.
Prop list is used by pretty much everyone in the film industry, they tend to have there own department on set for props and costumes so it important for there to be a list to state what props there are and what they will be used for i.e. which scene. As you can see our prop list isn't very big mainly due to the fact we where making a sort film but also because we did not need many props.
timeline is basically how long each element will take as most directors and producers have deadlines to meet its easy to get confused with what needs to be done by when, so having a timeline helps to plan both pre-production and actual production. In my group we made a time line on what scenes we where going to shoot on what days and when we where going to get filming done by.
